Etsy vs Shopify vs Amazon image sizes
If you sell on more than one marketplace, a single export will fail at least one set of rules. Etsy, Shopify, and Amazon all like large squares, but the pixel count, zoom behavior, and background policy are not the same.

- Etsy: 2000×2000 listing photos. Lifestyle is allowed on the first image. Thumbnail crop is the hidden problem.

Why one master file is not enough
A 2048 Shopify export is slightly larger than Etsy wants and still fails Amazon if the background is not white. An Amazon packshot often looks too sterile as an Etsy thumbnail. Keep a high-resolution original, then export per preset.
